VVCM Transportation Update (email 7/30/24)
VVCM Transportation Update:
Below is a message sent out on 7/29/24 regarding an upcoming change with our after-school transportation. To accommodate this unusual circumstance, we will have two classrooms available after school.
E1 - Mrs. Rumery’s first-grade class: For our younger students in 1st-3rd grade.
STEAM Lab: For our older students in 4th-8th grade.
These spaces will be available for students to work on classwork, art, games, and activities until the bus arrives.
For elementary students, a staff member will escort them to E1 after school and then to the bus when it arrives. Older students will also be escorted to the bus when it arrives. Staff members will take attendance, so please let me know if they would not be riding the bus home on a particular day. Additionally, we will provide a small snack for our Rattlers to enjoy while they wait.
To help us organize and be ready on day one, please fill out this Google Form as soon as possible if your child/children will be riding the bus home after school.
I understand this is an unexpected challenge, but by working together, we can make the best out of it. If you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to let us know.
Goooooo Rattlers!

Important Changes to Valley View Charter Montessori School Bus Service
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to inform you about some important changes regarding our school bus service that will impact your child's after-school transportation from Valley View Charter Montessori for approximately the first 6 to 8 weeks of school.
After-School Transportation Delay: Due to a significant shortage of bus drivers, after-school bus transportation will be delayed by 30 minutes. During this wait time, students will be supervised. We understand that this delay may cause inconvenience, and we are sincerely sorry for any disruptions. As soon as we can recruit additional drivers, we will resume a normal after-school pick-up time.
Reduced Number of Bus Stops: Additionally, we have had to reduce the number of school bus stops for the 2024-2025 school year. We will have:
-
One morning bus stop at Cameron Park Library.
-
Two after-school stops:
-
EDH CSD for the after-school Kidzone/Teen Center program.
-
Cameron Park Library.
-
Please visit the transportation website for approximate pick-up and drop-off times.
We are actively working to resolve these issues and improve our transportation services as quickly as possible. Your patience and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact the Transportation Office at (530) 677-5023 or (916) 933-0398 ext. 1195.
Thank you for your patience and support.
Warm regards,
Jessica Simon
